Capt. Dean Beech is recording some very hot marlin fishing at Port Stephens in the lead up to the big tournament weekend this weekend. On Monday, the team tagged 7 marlin, on Tuesday tagged 8 and Wednesday, another 6 (mostly striped marlin)! That’s 21 marlin in three days fishing.
If that wasn’t good enough, already this morning (Thursday) Mark has added a 300lb black marlin, a 380lb blue marlin and a 70kg striped marlin to acheive his first marlin ‘Grand Slam’ as angler – and all before lunch – which is also a first for Tinker on deck.
Capt. Dean said that the boat performed outstanding earlier this week in some less-than-ideal weather conditions, although that has changed again today with the conditions easing and almost ideal. Castille Charters III still has time available this season at Port Stephens. If you are interested in fishing with us,email@example.com

Light and Heavy Tackle/ Fly Fishing
Port Stephens lays a 2.5-hour drive north of Sydney and is recognised as one of Australia’s most picturesque and action packed fisheries. Blue Marlin, Black Marlin and Striped Marlin are prolific in these waters and if you want to catch a grand slam this is the best place to do it. Also many world records have been caught here on ultra light tackle and fly fishing. My best day in Port Stephens is 17 marlin. The best way to fish here is switch baiting and is very exciting.
