Popper fishing is one of the most exciting forms of fishing.

We usually back up to Reefs or Bait schools and you cast your popper in to the bait or reef.

One of the best things is it is all sight fishing so you see every bite and are always involved in the action.

The tackle we use are 8 foot Saltiga rods with Shimano 20000 Stella’s with 60 to 80 lbs Braid.  The bite is often on the surface and the variety of species include, Giant Trevally, Blue fin Trevally, Tealeaf trevally, dog tooth tuna, coral trout, Maori wrasse and mackerel.
